IronMatt Supports the Children’s Brain Tumor Project

The Children’s Brain Tumor Project is proud to announce another project funded by the Matthew Larson Foundation (aka IronMatt) beginning later this year. The research team will be investigating early stages of development in the pons with the hopes of better understanding the mechanisms that control cell development and how they may become deregulated during the process, resulting in the development of tumors such as DIPG. Understanding what’s happening at the molecular and cellular level during development to cause the tumor is essential in eventually attempting to prevent or reverse the process in the future.
