RUN THE NYC MARATHON FOR OUR TEAM!
The Children’s Brain Tumor Project Foundation has Guaranteed Entry to the NYC Marathon
New York, NY, March 1, 2023—The CBTP Foundation has been named an Official Charity Partner for the 2023 TCS New York City Marathon, which takes place on Sunday, November 5. Our organization will be among more than 550 official charity partners providing thousands of runners the opportunity to run in the world’s biggest and boldest marathon.
The TCS New York City Marathon is one of the city’s most anticipated and iconic annual sporting events, attracting runners and spectators of all backgrounds, ages, and abilities from around the world. More than 50,000 runners are expected this year after the race returned to full capacity last year.
For those interested in applying to run the NYC marathon with Team CBTP , please fill out the form below and we will email you within 24 hours.
Each participant is required to raise a minimum of $5,000 for our charity and pay their own race registration fee. In return, each runner will be provided with a Team CBTP shirt, a marathon prep kit, a designated location for your “cheer squad” to rest on race day, detailed training plans, weekly check-ins, the option to speak with our licensed trainer/nutritionalist, and a thoughtful team to help with their fundraising leading up to the race.
“This is one of the most effective ways to help fund critical research for children with brain tumors,” said Anthony Trimarchi, President of the Children’s Brain Tumor Project Foundation. “After watching my own child go through treatment, it opened my eyes to how important this cause is and how grateful I am to those who support us.”
The NYRR Official Charity Partner Program offers an opportunity for nonprofit organizations to raise funds to support their missions and services. Participating charities can offer guaranteed entry to runners who fundraise on their behalf. Since its inception in 2006, the TCS New York City Marathon Official Charity Partner Program has raised more than $440 million for more than 1,000 worthy nonprofit organizations across the globe. Prior to the start of the official program, the New York City Marathon had served as an outlet for individual philanthropic runners since the 1980s.

About the Children’s Brain Tumor Project Foundation
The Children’s Brain Tumor Project Foundation supports the research of world-renowned neurosurgeons Dr. Mark Souweidane and Dr. Jeffrey Greenfield at Weill Cornell Medicine. The Children’s Brain Tumor Project has a single goal: to bring hope to the hundreds of patients and families each year who confront the heartbreaking diagnoses of rare, sometimes inoperable, and often incurable pediatric brain tumors. We focus on the deadliest tumors because they are most often neglected in the research landscape due to the lack of funding and support that research scientists need to find cures.
