RUNNING WITH TEAM CBTP
Tori and Rob are DOING SOMETHING for their daughter Lily

When the Dauksza Family commits to something, they goes the distance—literally.
In March 2025, Victoria (Tori) Dauksza ran the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon as a member of Team CBTP, turning every mile into a statement of support for children with brain tumors. That race was only the beginning. In November 2025, Tori and her husband, Rob, ran the TCS New York City Marathon, and now, together, they are training once again to run the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon in March 2026 for Team CBTP.
They are running in honor of their daughter, Lily, who is battling Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG)—one of the most aggressive and devastating pediatric brain tumors. Lily is a big sister to a younger brother and twin siblings, and her fight fuels every step her parents take on the course.
What makes Tori and Rob’s journey extraordinary is not just the number of races, but the purpose behind them. With each training run and every mile on race day, they are helping raise awareness and support for the research that children like Lily urgently need. This kind of commitment reflects the heart of Team CBTP: turning love for a child into action that advances science.
At the Children’s Brain Tumor Project, we are honored to stand alongside families like the Dauksza’s—parents who choose to do something in the face of unimaginable challenges, and whose determination helps propel research forward for every child fighting a brain tumor.
