THE CBTP WELCOMES HAILEY REISERT AS 2026 RUDIN FELLOW

Hailey will Join the Lab Team Summer 2026

We are proud to announce that Hailey Reisert has received the latest Weill Cornell Medical College Student Research Award in Pediatric Neuro-Oncology.

Hailey’s research will focus on developing a minimally invasive, blood-based strategy to monitor medulloblastoma, one of the most common malignant brain tumors in children. By studying extracellular vesicles and advancing detection techniques, her work aims to support earlier diagnosis, improve risk stratification, and ultimately enhance outcomes for young patients. This innovative approach reflects the growing momentum in precision medicine and the urgent need for less invasive monitoring tools in pediatric brain tumors.

Currently a third-year medical student at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Hailey brings a strong foundation in neuroscience from Duke University, along with translational research experience at Yale. Her academic training, combined with her passion for pediatric neuro-oncology, positions her well to bridge scientific discovery and clinical care.

“I am incredibly honored to be selected for this fellowship and grateful for the mentorship at the Children’s Brain Tumor Project,” Hailey shared. “I can’t wait to get started!”

We are excited to welcome Hailey to this next chapter of discovery and mentorship. Supporting emerging physician-scientists like Hailey is essential to building the future of pediatric brain tumor research — and to accelerating the breakthroughs our children deserve.
