The lab team at the Children’s Brain Tumor Project is working at an unprecedented pace in order to advance cures. Our team is focused on two strategic paths forward: (1) basic research toward breakthrough discoveries, and (2) translational research that will enable us to bring those discoveries to clinic.

Record-Breaking Donation for DIPG
November 30, 2021 - John Rivera presents a $300,000 check on behalf of the Cristian Rivera Foundation to Dr. Mark Souweidane in support of DIPG research. The surprise donation was appropriately made at the end of the day on Giving Tuesday, 2021.

The Michels Family Endowment
DECEMBER 20, 2020 - Inspired by their daughter's diagnosis with choroid plexus carcinoma, the Michels Family has awarded Dr. Mark Souweidane with an endowed fund for pediatric neurological surgery.
